Live Review: Disco Godfather (1979)

  1. Hey Rev. I love your intro for your blaxploitation month. That was really cool. What can I say about this movie. I have seen it. I wasn't a big fan of it. The last half hour made up for a lot of the movie, but it's definitely a bad movie. People need to go into it realizing that. If a person can't stand a bad movie, then they need to stay away from this one. If you enjoy bad movies, then this one is perfect for someone. I really liked the video. You are so right on target with it. I can't wait to see your future reviews this month.

  2. As always you came up with come brilliant content for your review. I had no idea that Sho Nuf was in this film, and somehow I'm not sure if I knew he was Lord Bowler (I too miss that show.),

I like DG, but not nearly as much as RRM's other work. MY personal favorite is the slightly overlong Petey Wheatstraw. That being said I am right there with you. If folks like RRM's work, then there's still stuff to like here. If you're a square, then there's just no helping you.

  3. Keith - I think we see eye-to-eye on this one. I can't help but love Rudy Ray Moore, no matter how bad his films are. Thanx for being such a loyal viewer!

Bugg - Y'know Petey Wheatstraw may be my favorite as well. Come to think of it.

It's such a shame when actors like Julius "Sho'nuff" Carry get lost in the shuffle and never get the credit they deserve.
