  1. Great clip as usual. I've never seen this one. I always enjoy your posts. Many times you talk about movies I've never seen or haven't seen in ages.

  2. I guess that's kind of my whole thing. I just don't feel the need to review movies that there are literally a million reviews for on the web already. I'd rather introduce people to lesser known or forgotten films anyday. Thanx for taking the time to check out my vids, Keith.

  3. The black albino dude is a shining example of that amazingly horrible actor who still manages to be a blast to watch. :D "Beach rats...I EAT them, that's what I do with them!" Hahaha... I wanted to scream 'Watch the fucking road, dude!' during that little scene. Great pick, m'man.

  4. Saw this a couple weeks ago, Rev., on the Vicar of VHS's recommendation, and I said, "Damn, that's the Rev's new intro footage!" I knew from that that you liked it, and as it turned out I liked it too. That widescreen edition can't come out too soon, since the art direction clearly means something to the picture, what with all those full-length portraits, sculptures, etc. juxtaposed with the dehumanized mobs. If more of us discover this film, it'll probably get remade soon!

  5. @J - Not surprisingly, that guy was never in another movie. Too bad, because he has great presence in the film. He has two great scenes with dialogue and he's a fucking riot!

@Samuel - Yeah, this film mixes high art w/exploitation quite well. If ever there was a movie that screams for restoration, its this one. Hard to believe the director went on to make Howard The Duck of all movies.

Well The Crazies has been remade, and I could have swore I've read that a I Drink Your Blood remake is in the works too, so I'm sure this one will be remade at some point.
