Live Review: Kingdom of the Spiders (1977)

Thursday, April 29, 2010
Here's is a film I never thought I'd review as I'm not much of a fan of "nature-run-amok" horror/sci-fi movies, but I caught myself having some fun watching one. Plus it has William Shatner, which is a plus. Enjoy my review for, KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS...

ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAV. DRIVE IN MOVIES, I HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE SO MANY TIMES AND IT GETS BETTER EACH TIME. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME LAUGH TODAY I NEEDED IT. LOVE THE ROBE ZOMBIE REMAKE IDEA I MEAN THAT IS THE ONLY WORD HE KNOWS HOW TO USE IN A SCRIPT A.K.A. HALLOWEEN 2. ALSO I ENJOY WATCHING SHATNER REALLY GET BITTEN. HE TALKED ABOUT HOW THE SPIDERS ALWAYS BIT HIM DURING FILMING ON A DOCUMENTRY ABOUT HIS FILM CARREER. YOU CAN TELL HE IS IN REAL PAIN AT MOMENTS WHICH IS JUST PRICELESS. AWESOME REVIEW MY FRIEND, LOVED IT, FUNNY AS HELL..

Excellent movie and review, Rev! That lady in the "PSA" was also Shat's real wife at the time. I laughed hard at the Rob Zombie bit. I really need to pick up this recent DVD special edition so I can chuck the old Goodtimes "25th Anniversary DVD" away. A shame Shat never got to direct his intended sequel.

Great review and I have only vague memories of Kingdom of the Spiders. I remember seeing it on TV here and there when I was a kid and some of those scenes jog my memory a bit. That shit with shooting a spider off your hand is fucking hysterical!
